Morgan, Baumann and Brown Promoted Within Penton's Electronics GroupPenton Media, Inc., (OTCBB:PTON), a diversified business-to-business media company, has announced the promotions of Tom Morgan, Bill Baumann and Jason Brown.


Morgan was named Group Director, with senior operating responsibility for the Company's Electronics OEM Group. He was formerly Group Publisher of Electronic Design and EE Product News magazines.

Penton's Electronics OEM Group includes Electronic Design, EE Product News, Microwaves & RF and Wireless Systems Design magazines and their related online and in-person media products and services.

Morgan joined Penton in May 1999. He came to the Company from Advanstar Communications where his positions included General Manager of the International Beauty Group and Publisher of the Automatic ID News Group. Prior to that, Morgan was VP/GM of the Sports & Music Division of Cardinal Business Media. He is based in Penton's Paramus, N.J., office and reports to Penton CEO David Nussbaum.

Baumann was named Publisher of Electronic Design magazine. He was formerly Associate Publisher, and before that Global Sales Director of Electronic Design magazine.

Baumann joined Penton in March 1988. He previously worked for Schnell Publishing and Ziff Davis in regional sales manager positions. He also is based in Penton's Paramus, N.J., office.

Brown was named eMedia Product Manager for the Penton Electronics Group. He was formerly Publisher of Penton's Connected Home Web site.

Brown joined Penton Media Europe in February 1993, where he served as Publisher of NT Explorer magazine in Manchester, U.K. He joined Penton's U.S.-based operations in January 2001. He is based in Penton's Loveland, CO, office.
